Review on AweKing Waterproof 12V to 24V 5A 120W Step Up Boost Converter for Car Truck Vehicle – CE Listed by Jamal Gerrero

I bought this product because the inverter unit on my boat fridge failed. And if you're into boats, you know that $250 is fine for a replacement. The original inverter was designed to work on either 12V DC or 120V AC (battery or shore power) but I figured I didn't need the 120V AC capability because when I'm on shore power the charger works the same way. So I went on. and bought this 12v to 24v boost converter because the compressor needs 24v. The fridge works great now. This unit looks very well built, especially compared to the original inverter. The cooler is very durable and the whole body is waterproof, which is very convenient on the boat! The output voltage is stable while the boat is moving, regardless of fluctuations in the AC source voltage. This product saved me over $200 on my refrigerator repair and IMO it's an upgrade! That's all I'll be using to replace my fridge's power supply in the future. The old ones were seared by the salty air (Florida Keys), time will tell how these hold up. I will update my review if they are out of order. HIGHLY recommended for anyone who needs a 12v to 24v boost converter.
