Review on ViewSonic VX3268-2KPC-MHD Monitor: FreeSync Premium 144, Anti-Glare, and High Definition Display by Mark Tatum

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I recommend 100% for this price

I've had this monitor for a while and it's been pretty good. The colors are really juicy, there are no dead pixels. The refresh rate and resolution compared to a 1080p 60Hz monitor is simply outstanding. Everything is as smooth as polished metal. The flex is quite nice, although I don't think there's any point in flexing a monitor that doesn't have the width of a larger model of this screen (I have a 27-inch model), but it's nice nonetheless. There are microscopic halos, but you should really try to notice them. The 1ms response time setting dims the screen to a point where it's almost unusable, but honestly the refresh rate doesn't give you any reason to worry about usage. You'll have to tweak the settings a bit to get the most out of it, but it really only takes a few minutes and you're set up for good. There is some "backlighting" but I'm pretty sure it's an IPS panel and not a VA panel and it's just an IPS glow. It doesn't bother me much, but it can be an issue if you're constantly playing games with dark environments. And the DP cable has to be bought separately, the factory one has some issues with flickering, at least I had that. But overall it was a great monitor for the price and I recommend tuning it in if your GPU can handle it!
