They are great! I've used the same headbands on my vacation performers for the past three years that I bought at Walmart for $4 each BUT THE BATTERIES WERE NOT REPLACEABLE! (Trust me I tried my best MacGyver tricks but everything was stuck and the moment you cracked it everything fell apart). So we used it until the batteries died and opened a new one. I'm so glad this new design has replaceable batteries and although they cost more for the headband they will more than pay for themselves because I can replace the batteries. FYI the old ones weren't wasted. I just donated about 20 old headbands to a local preschool that still look great but no longer glow for use in the holiday program :-) PS They have an on and off slide switch and stay on as long as you use them do not switch off or the battery is empty. Some bracelets only light up for 30-60 seconds and then you have to press the button again, which is not good for a 3 hour concert.
