I have two dogs; instigators and followers. The instigator hears EVERYTHING (including but not limited to doorbells on TV) and sounds the alarm. The follower only barks because he wants to be included in everything. I've only had the collars for a few days and I'm really amazed at how quickly they started to work. Caused lots of laughs as my barker sat there like he was revving the engine trying to see how loud it could get without starting it. Now battery life; Like I said, it's only been a few days. My instigator's battery is dead. Follower battery is fine. I have to conclude that the more your dog barks, the faster the battery drains. I do not mind. For the price of both collars and the insane difference in noise levels in my house, I'll buy some batteries to keep it quiet! PS Cats love it!
