I dip the bottom half of this aluminum block in a pan of water and place MBP on top. It keeps my MBP cool. This block will not rust or corrode. I used to have another ribbed block but it soon rusted and formed a lot of white powdery substance on the surface and in the water. is underneath. If it could be up to 1 inch that would be perfect for my use case.
