The turn signal switch in my Pontiac G6 07 broke most of the year

I wish I had bought this sooner! Repair it yourself! The turn signal switch in my '07 Pontiac G6 didn't work most of the year. You don't realize how much you're worth until it's gone. So my experience was that I had to manually turn off the turn signal switch after each turn, which I often forgot, causing confusion and scowls from people at intersections. I finally got my new ACDelco turn signal switch in the mail today. Received it within a few days with a Prime membership. EASY TO INSTALL!. I strongly recommend doing it yourself. Removal (Pontiac G6): - Locate the steering column cover. (Between the steering wheel and the dashboard. Turn signal switch attached to the panel) - Pull the upper half of the panel off the lower half. Increase it as high as possible. There are (3) capscrews on the lower half of the shroud. They are in (3) visible holes. take them off - Remove the lower half of the housing from the steering column. (Carefully stretch the sheath in the tilt lock lever groove by removing it from around the tilt lock.) -Your turn signal switch should now be accessible and you should locate the (2) white harness connectors on the turn signal switch. - The large cable connector has a black locking clip that must first be lifted (carefully) before the connector can be removed. The smaller wire connector is a locking mechanism. Press and pull away from the turn signal switch. - The turn signal switch has (2) locking clips. (1) above. (1) below. Use a small screwdriver to press the tabs and loosen the tabs from the straps. - Pull out the old turn signal switch. INSTALLATION: - Insert the new turn signal switch into its socket. The locks engage audibly. - Insert the large wire harness into the turn signal switch. Again, you will hear a click when you insert it. - Insert the small wire harness into the turn signal switch. Listen for the click. Install the lower case half to the steering column. Be sure to stretch the bevel lock groove around the bevel lock lever for reinstallation. - Screw the lower half of the housing back onto the steering column. (DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN YOU WILL LOSE THE SCREW) - Insert the top half of the shroud into the bottom half of the shroud and adjust around the turn signal and wiper post on either side as needed. - Flip the turn signal switch headlight switch forward and smile. with all that money you just saved by doing it yourself. A NOTICE. There is a video on YouTube of a man replacing the turn signal switch on a Pontiac G6 if the instructions are difficult to understand or you prefer visual instructions. Also, the turn signal switch can feel rough or stiff when selecting a signal, but it should smooth out during your first ride.
