They did not open the phone before mailing it to me and it arrived in its original packaging, which included a protective film. Everything was running smoothly up to the point where the absolute essential applications were loaded (there are no playthings at all), at which point it started happening. It beeps continuously throughout the day, making it impossible to converse, and it always freezes, which is a bonus that seems to arise when the phone is not charged but does not appear to charge when the battery is low. The sole objective at this point is to deposit this garbage in the container. There was a Xiaomi Redmi 2 model in the past that did not have any issues. Very let down with the performance of this Xiaomi model. I will search for the Redmi model that is considered to be the most superior. Certainly not something I would suggest.
