The refresh rate is as advertised, but the color depth is terrible. Dark areas in videos and games look terrible. This is similar to what you see when you install a driverless graphics card in Windows. Ironically, I first noticed the issue when looking at the product images on this site for this monitor. A photo of the monitor turned off looks like someone painted it with a watercolor using only 10 tones of black. The search for drivers was also a little adventure. It comes with a CD that only contains a "manual" that mainly contains precautions and maintenance. If you go to LG's website and type in the exact model, it says it can't find that product (despite it being listed in the search suggestions [what the heck]). I have to do a google search which leads me to what appears to be the Australian version of the software and downloads page. From there I found OSD drivers and software. The software doesn't seem to work well with your monitor if you've made any adjustments. This will give you random errors saying you can't make any changes. Random, because if you repeat the same settings as before, they suddenly work. I would recommend this monitor if you use it exclusively for competitive gaming as the freesync feature comes in handy and can reach 144fps if your graphics card can handle it. I checked all my settings including color depth and bcp (I couldn't tell if this monitor had 8 or 6 bcp) in the AMD control panel. I also connected a second monitor to the same graphics card which has no color issues.
