Update May 2019 - Changed to 3 stars. The button broke after only 2 months of use - possibly a one time use or poor quality. Compared to alternatives, this is not a problem when it is possible to keep small dogs in a fenced yard with a picket fence. Our dog (12 pounds) could no longer squeeze his head and walk over the fence. Surprisingly, he doesn't mind putting it on and looks forward to putting it on because it means he can go out into the backyard. The only problem is putting it on (we attach it to the collar), a small hassle but a lot cheaper than spending thousands guarding a puppy fence.
