Real leather does not feel and does not smell. Has a chemical smell. Doesn't fit the buckle perfectly - slightly wider and thicker than the original strap - but can be used with the buckle. The haircut looks ok. All in all, I'd be fine if it was real leather, but I'm pretty sure it's not.
