Review on Venture Travel Neck Pouch Blocking Travel Accessories ~ Travel Wallets by Cristina Villanueva

Worth the money to protect yourself from pickpockets when traveling.

I bought this shoulder bag for $23 a few weeks before my trip to Italy. I basically used it as a wallet for my entire 10 day trip so I didn't have to worry about pickpockets swiping my passport/ID/credit card/debit card/cash/train tickets etc from the pockets of my shorts. The neck pocket is well designed, with two separate zipped pockets separated only by a thin (but strong) layer on the inside and a Velcro pocket made up of two sections separated by a thin mesh panel on the inside. Oh, and a spare front slot for a driver's license or ID if you want to use that. I adjusted the straps so they hung down the middle of my chest and I wore them under shirts (or over a t-shirt, but under a sweatshirt). I kept my passport and ID in a zip pocket that I rarely opened, and cash (in an envelope folded like a paper wallet) in another zip pocket that I accessed frequently. I kept my large stash of cash in an envelope in one velcro pocket and credit/debit cards (yes, in an envelope) and train tickets in another velcro pocket. This method of organization worked well for me and I knew where to get things when I needed them. The pouch was as comfortable against my bare skin as anything I've ever used, and the back is fairly breathable. After hiking with it for a few days, my neck got a bit irritated by the straps, but I just started wearing the strap around the back of the hood (whenever it was cool enough to wear a sweatshirt). The case is pretty much as advertised and is great for keeping your most valuable documents safe and always with you.
