Review on ๐Ÿพ Doggie Don't Device: The Ultimate Hand Held Audible Tool for Effortless Dog Training by William Hilzer

No, not a waste of money.

No, loud noises don't work on every dog. This doesn't make it a waste of money. 99% of dogs respond to it. I don't use it as a disciplinary tool, I use it as a defense. First, my daughter is getting an aggressive dog for Thanksgiving and we just adopted a mastiff mix from a local shelter. We expected trouble. The initial launch went smoothly, but later a controversy erupted over the toy. From 15 feet, without closing the button, the daughter hit the dog, and the fight ended immediately. It could have been a very gory moment that ended immediately. Second, my husband and I go to the local animal shelter every weekend to play with the big dogs. I keep one in my back pocket in case the rough play escalates into something more serious or two dogs start fighting over the fence. After all, I walk my dogs and I can stop them from approaching the dog, but I can't stop the dog from approaching them. If a dog approaches them, I can hit my dog until it gets close and the approaching dog runs away. So yes, obedience training is the best training tool, but for personal protection it works very well.
