My 11 month old granddaughter is learning to eat on her own and normal silicone baby spoons didn't quite fit. It's perfect for little hands, the spoon cup is just the right size to hold a child's portion of food without falling or rolling, unless she decides to shake the spoon like a mariachi. When she first used this spoon, more food went into her mouth than with the other three spoons. The pacifier-like guards prevent her from putting the spoon too far in her mouth. The size is small for an adult but perfect for a child/toddler. When you feed your baby, use a different spoon and let him use this one. This grandmother is very happy with the purchase and my daughter-in-law said she was very happy 😊
