Review on Reese 7031400 Tri Ball Mount Hook by Matthew Aiono

This thing seems solid but the one I received looked a little different than the one in the photo, mainly the pin holes for using the hook/big ball are much further down the stem ( towards the ball). where in the picture they look almost the same. This is a problem for me because on my pickup coupler the maximum distance from the non-ball end of the shaft to the center of the pinhole is 3.25 inches. is 2.5 inches from the end, the other set is 3.75 inches from the end. Of course I could drill it, but I need to find someone with a drill press and a 5/8 metal drill bit. Also, with the ball/hook at the end of the tube, the end cap is not welded around the entire perimeter, there is no recess at the end of the square plate for water to enter. The other 3 ball hooks have the pin holes less than 3.25" from the end of the tube, I will be returning this one. If not, I'll find someone with a drill.
