If you're used to the kind of disposable brushes that use removable tape on a roll, these brushes are completely different. These brushes can be reused hundreds or thousands of times. Each side of the brush has a material that is very effective in removing hair and lint from clothing. You simply brush in one direction to remove what you are trying to get rid of and then pick it up with the brush. Then you need to brush in the opposite direction to clean the brush. But I just press my fingers against the material on the brush in the opposite direction you use to brush, and the accumulated hair and other material is easily removed. Then I can just throw it in the trash can. This is similar to cleaning a lint trap in a dryer. I am very happy with these brushes because I had a similar one many years ago.
