If you're looking for an easy and painless build, especially for beginners, this monoblock is for you. No software required, no messy cables, no hassle. I bought this for my Ryzen 7 1800X (upgrading to Ryzen 7nm next year). I looked at and compared other AIOs from Corsair, NZXT and even the new ASUS AIOs. I thought I might regret buying it but once I installed it it was gone. Although this is the latest generation Asetek cold plate design, it is covered by a 5 year warranty compared to Asus Ryuo/Ryujin which is 3 years. The only thing I did was replace the stock fans with Noctua NF-A12x25 and NF-. A12x15 for push/pull configuration. With Prime95 I have 67C max at 3.9GHz OC. My system idles at 30°C, which is definitely better than my air cooler, which idled at 40-45°C. The pump definitely doesn't make any noise, which made me wonder if it even works. The only comment I can make is to make sure you are using the correct mounting brackets for AM4 motherboards versus AM3 and older. I made a silly mistake and installed the wrong one and my CPU hit 100C which triggered the overheat protection. Bottom line: buy this cooler even if it looks bland and boring, the refill/upgradeability was worth the money and the fact that they give it 5 years like other high end competitors makes me very happy with my decision .
