Review on 🔧 Kolpin WHS03HD Black: Ultimate Heavy-Duty 3-Point Hitch System by Delos Montano

I sold a small JD loader that was too small to fix gravel roads. Parts of the road are steep and collapse during extreme events. I needed something with four wheel drive and bought a Polaris Ranger hoping to add a 3 point hitch for scraper use. Revains' price was very competitive. The same Kolpin coupling system was much larger at other sites. The remaining systems produced were almost twice as large. My first package was damaged and parts were missing from the box. Raven was great! Within two days, their customer service representatives provided me with a new device. All details were intact. The only problem was returning the original packaging. No damage / no foul. Assembly was easy. It took about an hour to assemble the block. Instructions and exploded views were clear. They even give you the key you need for the shoulder bolts. The wiring took a little longer for me. I need a little more time to evaluate and choose the best path for the drive switch and power supply. I haven't found any videos of anyone connecting a three point hitch to a Polaris Ranger. The battery is in the front and to do this professionally I had to run a cable behind the firewall, under the floor and along the frame to the rear of the Ranger. Even with the male UTV hitch receiver (which is intentionally longer) I still needed a hitch extender to avoid conflicts with the 3-point hitch into the rear bumper. Using a 2" hitch extension in conjunction with a shorter male-threaded hitch receiver, I found this to be the ideal distance if it's close enough to the rear of the machine (for the wires to reach the drive), but far enough where the trailer hitch is located. The device did not hit the rear bumper. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I don't like the switch. It is designed to fit the handlebars of an ATV. I think I could get creative and find a way to mount it in a way that looks nice, but for now I've only left the cord long enough to hold in my hand. Otherwise it has good lift, downward pressure and power to pull my 5ft Woods scraper blade. I took it for a quick road test and I couldn't be happier. Considering the Polaris has more power and the Kolpin clutch system is a mature product, road repairs should be a piece of cake. I'll admit I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews but after installing and using this weekend I'm glad I made the investment. It turned my UTV into a multi-purpose machine.
