I used this on a recent trip to Europe. It works great on flat sockets, but unfortunately many places in Europe use sockets that are slightly recessed and round. Basically the adapter's square frame was too wide and hit the edges of the socket so the pins couldn't reach far enough to make a connection. Luckily the person I was traveling with had an adapter I could borrow for charging. my electronics. I don't know if it was a manufacturing defect and the plastic was made too big, but the end result was I was only able to use this adapter set for half of my trip when I had flat sockets (hence 3 stars).
