Review on Peplink Surf SOHO MK3 Router: Entry-Level Home Router with Cloud-Based Management (InControl), SUS-SOHO-T by Tony Hanson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buy this and don't worry about anything else.

Unlike household appliances, the web interface is informative and responsive. It's easy to set up and works great. Also, I scanned the router and found no security issues. No security issues were fixed with my previous wireless router, and Netgear had no plans to update the firmware. Meanwhile, Peplink is still updating the firmware. Because it is a corporate level, it stays connected for a long time; I bought this wireless router for both a home and non-profit organization; No device lost connection and they didn't have to be restarted. I'm surprised this device isn't sold in office supply stores that just sell the same consumer hardware that you can buy elsewhere. I'm also surprised that computer magazines don't write about this device on a regular basis, given that it's higher quality hardware with more stability than anything else offered at a consumer price point. Neither Revain nor Peplink state that this device comes with antennas; Revain offers to purchase antennas with the device. So imagine my surprise when there were antennas in the box. However, there were no assembly instructions in the box - no paperwork. I had to use my phone to get to the peplink website and couldn't find any instructions there. Eventually I went to their community forums and got instructions. (First, use an Ethernet connection; go to 192.168.50.1; UserId: admin; PWD: admin.)
