I bought these lights to decorate a festive wreath for my front door. The lamps came neatly packed in a box with no instructions. There are 6 or 7 settings on the battery box related to lighting, blinking, steady, etc. that you have to guess how to set. After wrapping the garlands around the wreath, I hid the battery compartment (it contains 3 AA batteries which are not included) behind the wreath. It will be quite difficult to turn the light on and off. Without instructions I didn't know what to expect. By pressing "steady" I found that the light turns on automatically and turns off after about 5 or 6 hours.
