They were brand new and they were defective and sent them to me anyway
I am a teacher and bought these to hang in my classroom. I have limited time to put it up and because it was so confusing it took me a few days to put it up. However, it doesn't matter. Then imagine my dismay when I realize that one of the lights is taped over and none of the lights underneath are working. That piece of tape tells me they knew it was broken but sent it to me anyway. I had to turn off the light and send the damn thing back. My students are disappointed, and rightly so.
