a long line if I don't have much time so I can spool it back in if needed. Bought this in 30ft and 50ft to pair them together so they stretch across the yard. After reading other reviews. I agree the metal connectors are sharp (so I immediately taped them) and even removed one because it didn't hold tight (so I removed the star). I can't confirm the strength of the clamps (and for the purpose I'm using them for because they probably won't be tested) but I pulled them and they seemed solid. I like that the nylon doesn't hold an odor (like cotton) and the twisted cord doesn't tangle like the flat long cotton cords (that I use). Nylon rope isn't stored in the sun (so I'm not worried about fraying), it's soft and very light. I'm not sure I'll be comfortable using it in an unfenced area, but it's perfect for my purpose. And for those who write about cutting lead. ALL nylon will do this if pulled quickly across the meat. This is not a product defect. I expect this wire to last a long time for the purpose I am using it for. If I find any issues with it I'll update my review, but I don't expect to have to.
