We all have our own ways of keeping our vinyl clean. Still using the tried and tested Spin Clean bath, I also use the Record Doctor V for deep vacuuming (and when I'm too lazy to get Spin Clean!). Both are great. However, I find the AudioQuest brush to be the ideal tool for simply removing dust from a record before putting down the stylus. When used correctly, it works great. Unlike some reviewers, I didn't have an issue with static electricity. But I must reiterate that the right application gives the best results. A few revolutions over a spinning record (e.g. on a turntable) with a light touch. You should not "kink" the fibers. And make sure your fingers are on the gold part of the pen. Then gently rotate the brush counter-clockwise until you reach the edge of the plate. Step up gently and you're done. It takes practice, but it really works. I agree with some that the handle could have been attached to the brush better as it is easily removed.
