I bought a "brand" because I thought the quality would be better. It is not. I needed to cut watercolor paper for my Etsy shop and the blade barely went 3 before it dulled and ruined the paper. If you're making light to medium-sized postcards, you shouldn't have any problems. There are no problems with normal paper. But for something heavy, or if you have to cut all the time, spend a lot of money on replacement blades. I can't complain too much because I got it for a reasonable price. I just wish the blade was better.
