Review on ROCKRIX Car Audio Wiring Kit: Complete 8 Gauge 20 Ft Power Cable for Effortless Amplifier Installation & Wiring by Ken Ayo

It's ok but not great - Amplifier wiring kits

I should have bought more and read the description better. I found it odd that the ends of the cable were silver instead of copper. Of course, the electrons travel out, but call me old-fashioned, I'd prefer oxygen-free copper for the signal-carrying wire. This kit is 8ga but apparently that doesn't mean AWG. The ground and power wires seem thick enough for my purposes. With the 8ga kit, the speaker cable has a very small cross-section. I didn't use it and used my own instead. The fuse holder uses MANL style fuses - this is new to me and I think I'll have to buy a few for parts. It also has a 60A fuse, which is way too much for my mono subwoofer amp to be of any protective value. I like that there is a safety net in front of the power cord. It's really tough as I tried to cut it with scissors and couldn't! The connection kit is ok. In general, it gets the job done, but I can't say I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is ok
