Hose for lubricating tools and equipment

The grease fitting is smeared with red Loctite which is very difficult to remove. I wanted to remove it to fit a lock on the faucet that would be easy for one person to use. Why they used a permanent elbow I don't understand, but it required heat. The hose is not particularly heavy, but is protected by a spring bandage. It's decent but nothing overpowers.
