My 11 year old English Setter is very well behaved but does not like being left alone, especially at night. We keep him on a leash at night with the kennel door open. We live in a townhouse and a barking dog is absolutely not an option. We've used the bark collar successfully for the past three years, but he's learned to beat the system. He knows how many times he can bark before the alarm goes off and the shock sets in. He also knows that if he shakes his head, the collar will twist away from his throat and he won't feel it bark. The Bywocn dog training collar has three stimulation options. The bark collar we use makes the same familiar sound as the Bywocn collar. When he hears the sound of a collar barking, he's trained to go into shock at the next bark. With this Bywocn collar, pressing the sound button once will stop it immediately without any further action on our part. I set the shock function to 0 and the vibration to 3. Because he's a smart dog, we haven't had to use the vibration or shock functions so far. As for the build quality and other characteristics. The range is very good and I would expect it to be a must have for a training collar. The remote fits comfortably in the palm of my hand, is easy to use and very easy to adjust the intensity of each function. The collar itself is strong and simple. It's easy to turn it on and off and pair it with the remote control. The collar adapts to any dog size and can be trimmed with scissors. So far I've found this to be all that's advertised and worth every bit of the price. The battery seems reliable in both the transmitter and receiver. I was a little worried about where the power button was placed on the receiver and might be prone to being accidentally pressed while it's sleeping. This was never a problem and the week we used it worked perfectly. It was worth its weight in gold for us and our dog. Highly recommended for quality, features and price.
