The first time I put it on my hand, the temperature dropped immediately, and then when I went outside, it dropped even more. Yes they are waterproof but again very cold. When the wind blows, it gets even colder. The only thing they are good for is using your mobile device, and even that is difficult when your hands are cold. The upside is that they fit into gloves that fall apart but keep my hands warm even with those gloves in them.
