I chose this SATA drive for my Dell 8400. I originally wanted a 250GB hard drive to replace my original 80GB hard drive. I cleaned and defragged the original drive and the installation of the new drive went perfectly! However, I found problems with Microsoft software (XP, Outlook 2003 and Word) that I could not solve. These problems had nothing to do with the drive itself! So I reinstalled 80GB as the boot drive and added WD as the second storage device. Everything worked perfectly again. Data Life Tools made the whole process very easy. The drive is quiet and I am very happy with the new WD drive! I want everything in my life to be that easy!
