I am new to PC building and was amazed when I ordered 5 5V RGB fans for my first PC. While this may not seem like a problem for many, it was a problem for me as I had a TUF Gaming X570 Plus motherboard with 12V RGB connectors. As many will say, RGB is optional for a PC, but of course everyone wants to make their pc look better so i wanted to include it in my build. I've searched forums and guides to find a workaround for this and came across this 5v-12v converter. It's very easy to set up. All you have to do is connect one end to your power supply, one to your 5V controller/fan and the other to the 12V connector on your motherboard. I can say for myself and the UpHere fans I've bought that this product definitely works and I really don't see this as a problem for PC manufacturers trying to find workarounds based on their particular setup.
