I ordered a size up and then cut off a small section of the belt to make it fit perfectly. The end of the strap that attaches to the buckle is easy to undo and cut just what is needed for a perfect fit. You then slide the strap back into the buckle and it snaps easily into place. The belt is a little slippery at the point of contact with the pants, but I expect this will ease up over time. The black buckle makes it less obtrusive when you're wearing black pants.
