Review on Black EVS Sports R3 Race Neck Guard by Darrell Kiley

Bought Youth S/M EVS E3 racing collar. It fits my 5 year old, me (5ft 2, 105lbs), it's too loose to be effective for my 2.5 year old. It looks good, seems easy to clean and has snaps to attach it to the chest protector. I don't think it fits over a mountain bike shirt though, which is why we bought it. This is something to consider if you already have a chest protector. The Alpenstern neck roll takes up enough space and adheres better to the skin. The EVS has a smooth faux leather finish, but kids don't like the way it feels. It also doesn't hold a full-face helmet like it should, it's not wide enough. I don't think this would be an issue if a child (or small adult) was wearing a perch guard. Al Pine Stars also has a thicker back. Foam is a little softer than EVS, but not by much. Both with removable lids. Al Pine Stars have small loops so you can secure them for fraud protection as well. Overall I like this better for a 2 year old and will probably get a larger size for my 5 year old although this fits her at the moment.
