Works well with an old AT keyboard when using the correct adapters.

This review is more of a love/hate review. The keyboard I use with my main home computer system is a 20 year old Keytronics with an AT connector which has served me well and I really like it. I used to use a dual port KVM designed for PS2 connections. I started researching the new KVM as the old one was over 10 years old and seemed to be having issues. Now I use the same keyboard with an AT to PS2 adapter and then an active USB to PS2 adapter for this 4 port KVM. It works. The only downside of this KVM is double. First, it uses an external button to "switch" the computer it's connected to. It's not that bad, but I often find myself still pressing the hotkey sequence that was used in my old KVM. It will pass. The second and more annoying is that the keyboard often turns off when I switch from one computer to another. What I've found works best when I press and hold the KVM button on the computer I need for a second or two. This usually results in the keyboard being active when the screen is shown. I don't know if this would be an issue if I was using a modern USB wired keyboard. As you can see, my situation is unique. The product is not perfect for my needs, but it does the job. The only thing that can make this a five star product is the mounting hole on the back.
