Review on Seafrog WPC-TG6 Waterproof Housing Case for Olympus TG-6 Cameras - Ideal for Underwater Diving up to 195FT/60M by Eric Miller

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap construction, sloppy feel

Cheap case with VERY BAD aluminum parts. The double-threaded lens mount is an M52 zoom ring lens. The threads in both parts are so terribly cut that they keep getting stuck in each other. Knobs and wheels look very crappy and sloppy. The mode dial on the body doesn't mesh tightly with the camera wheel, giving you plenty of free rotation before the camera mode changes. Very annoying underwater. The vacuum option and humidity sensor are nice touches but not needed as the TG-6 is already a waterproof camera. Even if you flood the case, you won't damage the camera. I gave it 2 stars because I like the idea of having the lightning connectors on the side. Like everything else in this case, it's poorly executed. The cheap piece of foil they have inside to reflect the lightning bolt doesn't work well. I've noticed inconsistent firing of flashes at low camera flash power (below 1/16 power). This is the cheapest case for the TG-6, but in my opinion this is not the best price at all.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
