Received as a birthday gift for my 6 year old daughter. She likes to wear eyeshadow and loves Pokémon just like her parents. Two of her favorites are Evie and Sliveon, so of course they caught my attention! The first thing that struck me upon opening was how heavy they were. I knew they were metal when I bought them, but I was still a bit surprised by the weight. I kind of liked how they felt, but it might not be for everyone. The second thing I noticed is the very cheap, hard case they are kept in. Personally I really didn't bother with the bag, I just took it out completely and put it in a prettier bag that I bought later. never mind But I know it might interest some people, so I thought it was worth mentioning. At the same time, my arguments for 4 instead of 5 stars have nothing to do with the bag. If the colors were a little better on some of them I would easily give them a 5. Of course I didn't expect them to be perfect. I mean if you know Pokemon you can already tell from the picture that some of their colors don't match, but Espeon is still pretty bad. I already knew it was the wrong purple, but what we got was even worse. Much, much darker! On the other hand, Sliveon is quite intelligent. So much so that he practically doesn't even have a face. Overall they are still pretty cute in my opinion and my daughter loved them. As for how well they work, I haven't used them myself so I can't comment on that. I mean, you can probably assume that they're more for looks than practical, but for a 6-year-old who just plays with eyeshadow, they definitely do the job! That being said, I don't think I would recommend them to Eeveelution fans looking for quality brushes for real use. However, I think they will still look very cute sitting in a stand on a table or with other brushes! These are definitely not Pokemon Center-level brushes, but if you're not too picky and just want to add some cute Eevee stuff to your collection, you'll probably be happy with them anyway! I'm a huge Pokemon fan and can be pretty picky, but to be honest I'd still be happy to buy one for myself!
