Review on ASUS VG249Q Gaming Monitor with FreeSync, 144Hz DisplayPort, Adjustable Height & Pivot, Built-In Speakers, HD by Jake Barnes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In my opinion good 144Hz IP cameras.

Design: Extra slim bezels and stands allow for tilt, swivel and swivel. Good for a multi-monitor setup. Picture Quality: The picture looks very sharp and clear compared to my Tn panel. There are no dead pixels, backlight streaks, and minimal ips glow on my device. I only see a glow in the lower right corner. Dark scenes look normal on this monitor. Ghosting/Input Lag: During fast 144Hz scenes, the monitor shows slight ghosting. The monitor also features an Elmb mode that looks impressive at 144Hz and completely eliminates motion blur, but has a faint ghosting effect that becomes more noticeable at lower frame rates. Fighting games at 60fps don't look very good with it. Speakers: The monitor is equipped with speakers with a decent sound. Inputs: There are HDMI, Displayport and D-Sub. D-Sub should have been another HDMI or Displayport as it seems useless for such a monitor.
