The dew point gauge was the reason I bought this product. It works well, has long battery life and is accurate. The dew point indicates how much moisture I can safely add in winter without condensation forming on the windows. This also indicates the efficiency of the air conditioning in summer. "Delta T" (temperature change, intake air temperature minus cold air temperature) indicates how much heat the air conditioning system is dissipating. Because the air conditioner also removes moisture, the dew point tends to be at the evaporator plates, which is the temperature of the cooled air. (Unless you live in a dry climate.) So by simply noting the difference between the ambient air and the dew point, you're giving the efficiency. It's amazing how much more efficient the air conditioning works in the mornings when it's 70 degrees outside compared to how little it gets cold during the day in the 90's. I stopped turning on the air conditioner at noon and saved a few dollars on electricity. This is a wonderful product. Talk about the dew point!
