Review on ASUS Cerberus GeForce Graphics Cerberus GTX1050Ti O4G by Stanislaw Buzala ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

The card has an inadequately small heatsink, two times smaller than on other models from Asus, MSI, Gygabyte. It heats up to 80 degrees, but the coolers do not want to cool more actively (on any preset), they rotate 54%. In GPU-Z it is written - 83 degrees is the norm. Changed the preset: 64% heats up 76 degrees. Noisy. If you set the speed higher, it is already buzzing. It is strange that people write "Maximum 60 is heated, very cold." At idle, the coolers spin at 1070 rpm (24%), but are almost inaudible. On my old Phenome II (4 cores at 3.0) at 1680 resolution, all games at high settings give out 50-60 frames and above. But it’s playable on FullHD too: Battlefield 1 40-60 frames, Witcher 3 40-55, Warthander, at extreme settings it produces above 90 frames. No freezes or downloads. If you have a more powerful processor, then I think you can still squeeze 5-10 frames. Many write that the card is for medium settings, but this is not so. Its overclocking potential is a dubious thing, because the cooling is weak, they regretted a piece of aluminum. During overclocking, my FPS drops by 5 percent. ))) Apparently the processor can not cope. Memory costs Hynix. The back wall (backplate) is plastic, more for beauty. I overpaid for it because of the coolers, there are a lot of complaints about Palit and Enno3D that the cooling is breaking.

Pros
  • + workmanship + margin of safety (electronics) + well reanimates old computers + universal: games, Photoshop, video editing (4gb and CUDA) + quite productive (was expecting less) + low power consumption
Cons
  • - not cold at all, as many reviews assure - poor heatsink, focus on design over efficiency - coolers set to 80 degrees - high price for an entry-level card - tolerable but noisy
