Review on Set of 2 Tan Solid Wood Tufted Parsons Dining Chairs by Roundhill Furniture - Enhanced SEO by Courtney Collins

They're comfortable and well designed

So we bought a set of these chairs to try with our new dining table. Very surprised by the quality of these prefabricated chairs. They are comfortable and well designed. Pretty easy to assemble. I've seen the comments here about the slight wobble in one of the shorter legs. Just read the instructions. If installed correctly, this will not happen. First I screwed the seat to the backrest, then you can put the chair on the floor and level it by gently pulling the front legs by hand. Then reach in and tighten one of the bolts on each A-pillar to keep them in place. Flip it back over for easier access and tighten. Did. We liked the first pair so much that we ordered a second pair. My only issue was that the legs didn't match our table. The table is made from reclaimed wood so is very gray and the chair legs are almost light with marinade glaze. So I found a solution that I will share in case someone else has the same problem. I hand sanded the legs with 220 grit sandpaper and then roughed them up with a stiff wire brush to remove any stain/glaze residue from the wood structure. Bought a can of Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerator and amazed her with it. 3 coats later I had the desired gray and then sealed them. It turned out perfect. I am attaching a photo of three polished chair legs and one factory finished so you can see the difference. Took a few hours but better to pay hundreds for a chair to match the table.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
