I wouldn't recommend it for gaming, but overall it's a great monitor, if a bit pricey. I've played some games that support ultrawide (E:D, AC Odyssey, Division 2) and it's impressive, but make sure your GPU can handle it. I think there are other offerings now that are probably a bit more accessible. However, it's AMAZING that you're the kind of person who needs to have multiple windows open at once. I wish I had had that in grad school while doing research and writing. The case is gigantic. Once you start using a monitor with that much space, you'll never go back. The stand is solid, well built; I wish I had this when I've been juggling spreadsheets all day.
