We had a pair of magnetic mounts that worked fine. I love having my metal plate mount in my case, but our old mounts weren't strong enough to work like this after I upgraded to an iPhone X. Many of the mounts I looked at have plastic grommets where the phone plugs in, like my old install. My case is very slippery so it didn't work well on my old mount. This mount has a rubber pad that the phone connects to, so it doesn't slip at all. It also has 6 magnets instead of 4 like my old mount. It also holds onto the vent very securely. With pressure equipment like my old one, rubber seals sometimes fall off. He doesn't have the problem because he clogs the vent. This mount is by far the best I've ever used. I highly recommend it!
