Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Ultimate Gaming Power: PlayStation Portable 3000 Core Pack System - Piano Black by Ryo Flora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

April 2013 and beyond still an amazing portable system

I seriously considered buying the Vita but when I saw the library of must have PSP games (from which many don't and won't be available in the North American Playstation store ) compared to the Vita in its current state, the PSP won by a wide margin. Amazing that I can still get the latest model with UMD replica brand new here at Revain. I now play shmup Japan-only UMD import collections (Salamander Portable, Parodius Portable, Twinbee Portable - all from Revain, new) and great domestic UMDs (Gradius Collection, Metal Slug Anthology, Wipeout Pure & Pulse, etc.) and all Playstation Network games for PSP and Minis are available to me. UMD games can often be found at used game stores at decent prices. Since there is no memory card (required) and no USB A-mini-B cable (highly recommended), I recommend you buy them at the same time. In fact, the best memory card is the NEON MicroSD to Memory Stick PRO Duo Dual Slot Adapter sold right here at Revain, along with your choice of 1 or 2 microSD/microSDHC cards. I use it along with an old 32GB card lying around and I have more than enough room for saved games, some downloaded games and demos. One caveat: the PSP's Wi-Fi doesn't support new encryption methods or anything other than 802.11b - even some b+g routers can be tricky to connect and may need some tweaking. This problem has made it easier for me to download games and demos through my PS3 and then transfer them to PSP via USB cable. As for online games where I can connect to Wi-Fi, I have no idea if games can be played online as I haven't tried it.

Pros
  • listening to mp3s and watching full length movies
Cons
  • boring packaging
