Review on Sangean PR-D18GR AM/FM/Portable Digital Radio With Protective Bumper (White/Gray) by Daniel Ogbebor

I've waited 3 1/2 months to write a review because I checked how long the batteries last as there have been positive and negative reports on battery life. I used the radio for at least a few minutes almost every day, usually over half an hour and sometimes longer. Once I accidentally left it on all night. The battery indicator now fluctuates between one bar and empty. My conclusion is that the battery life is more than sufficient for everyday use. This is my 5th Sangean radio, all different models. Typical for the Sangean, it has a very good sound for its size. It has far fewer buttons than some of the other models, which is a plus if there's someone else in the house who doesn't like reading long and not always well-written manuals, or fiddles with the buttons for an hour to learn without reading . .The reception is excellent. This radio replaced the old Sony AM/FM/TV Sound/Weather Radio in the bathroom (of course the TV sound disappeared in 2009 when TV went digital). I really didn't want to lose this radio when it finally broke because it had good reception and sound. However, this replacement has better reception and an equally good or better sound. This is the winner.
