I got this as a starter kit after seeing what other card manufacturers can do with shading. There's definitely a learning curve, but if you remember the screen printing tricks when less is more, you'll get the hang of it. They aren't soft and mushy like you might think of a stamp. I've found that using a soft brush works best for shading the edges of my cards. Many colors included!
