For use on a router. The best thing about them is simply that for this price you can buy core drills for their relatively infrequent use. A mechanical tungsten torch (which they are not) usually costs hundreds and goes up in price quickly. So if I can get about 10 premium holes out of one hole before it gets boring, I'm happy. Ring cutters are not tools for beginners. A few things to look out for if this is your first purchase. First, the drill must have a horsepower/torque ratio and a 3/4 inch chuck or tool holder. Use lots of liquid. If you can cool with liquid, it's a pot tool. They become dull with frequent use. Note. that failure mode is catastrophic. They break to varying degrees. There is no art or craft here. Second, make sure the drill speed is set to book. There is absolutely no room for experimentation. Book speed is the speed after billions of holes and 100 years of engineering. What is the value of a premium bore for mounting bearings, threads, etc. Was my review helpful? If yes, please click helpful so I can know. I try hard to add value to my reviews to help you with your choice.
