Review on AOPEN 27HC5R Pbiipx Curved Monitor with FREESYNC Technology, Full HD 165Hz Refresh Rate by Jonathan Mahendra

So I don't usually write many reviews, but since there aren't many for this item, I took a chance on Aopen since they are basically a hardware company. I feel like I owe them a review for this product. First, it's a step up from cheap $170 FreeSync monitors with standard Samsung B panels (quality check failed). I first bought one of these and I have to tell you it was a mistake. The refresh rate was way below advertised and not up to date so I returned and bought it. In terms of display quality and performance, I would compare it to the $350 monitors I've used for $100 less. The monitor is sharp, bright and the black levels are better than anything else in this price range. For gaming it's perfect, for performance it's perfectly acceptable and you'd be crazy to buy anything else.
