Review on πŸŒ€ Suncourt TW208P Hardwired Room to Room Transfer Fan - Variable Speed Wall Mounted Fan with Rotating Grille and Quiet Operation by Erin Young

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The main problem was that one of the bolts holding the motor was bad and would not tighten.

Once installed it's a gem, the difference is 4 degrees Fahrenheit in the room I use it in. However, it came with a loose motor in the case so I had to remove the fan assembly from the front grille (not difficult, three plastic clips but you had to be careful not to break them). The main problem was that one of the bolts used to mount the motor was bad and would not tighten, but just kept turning as if it had stripped threads. So I had to use some Loctite and hope for the best (it's been a week with no noise issues). You will also need about 1 inch more width and height (from what size hole you need) of wall space to mount the front grille. This becomes very tight when placed over a doorway with an 8 inch ceiling, for example. In terms of volume, it's fairly quiet up to around 65% speed, after which it's noticeable that there's a fan in the room (unavoidable as it's mostly wind noise from air passing through it as it's pushing a lot of air ). at full speed). But I haven't turned it on more than 50%, and it does its job perfectly. Also, this is not a "flush mount" as the front grille is about 1.25" thick and protrudes from the wall, and the edge of the grille is very thin in some places compared to the hole you need to cut, so be very careful when cutting. the pattern they give you.

Pros
  • Wall fans
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
