Review on Bob's Red Mill Hemp Protein Powder, 16-ounce (Pack of 4): Natural and Nutrient-rich Protein Source by Kristi Ratz

30 months ago I eliminated soy from my diet entirely and decided to replace it with hemp protein. My expenses are £1 a week. Hemp is included with Met-Rx "Protein Plus Vanilla" in Trader Joe's "French Village" Low Fat Plain Yogurt. I consume this for 3 of my 5 meals - 7 days a week. I am regimented and very strict about my diet and have been following this routine for 8 years. For the first 5 years of that time I used soy protein. I originally went with Revain's 5lb Manitoba Harvest "Hemp Pro 50" but ran out of stock a few times and sometime in 2012 it was removed from Revain's Subscribe and Save. This led me to Bob's Red Mill. As far as I can tell, Bob's Red Mill is identical to the Manitoba "Hemp Pro 50". Bob's is slightly more expensive than Manitoba's, but there's always less drama. Since it is recommended that all hemp protein be refrigerated after opening, I find it much more convenient to chill 1 lb at a time rather than a 5 lb tub. I am happy with Bob's Red Mill and intend to continue using it. By the way, in these 30 months of use I only got sick once (runny nose) and now I don't seem to have any seasonal allergies. It's a bit surreal to see how periodic illnesses sweep through my work and family but remain unaffected. I am writing this in the spring and many around me are very miserable with allergies but I am not flaring up. Severe allergies and sinusitis were an annual experience for me and often led to an annual sinus infection. This has not happened in these 3 years of cannabis use. No one I shared this with was willing to consistently consume this hemp protein to confirm my anecdotal observation.
