Replaced a 40 year old device that wouldn't charge my battery, plastic case could be a few millimeters thicker, device was about 1/2 shorter than original so that the mounting holes were slightly offset, just used a couple of shims to raise the block off the ground so the cover fits properly. All cables and switches are transferred flawlessly to the new device. Just buy a wire maker's page to identify the wires, or just use white tape and a marker. My old block had rubber grommets for the DC wiring so I replaced them with 1/2 clamps. All DC circuits are now filtered out and the battery is in float mode.
