The first streetfighter I built was a 1st generation SV650 in 2003 (after an accident at a race track). Now that I have the 2nd gen I wanted to apply the same attitude. Things have changed a bit considering that when I built my bike 17 years ago the only options I had were Acerbis, Baja Designs and aftermarket UFO dual sport headlights - everything but the Acerbis looked pretty good and cost over $100. Being able to get this headlight for $20 was pretty nice. I used the old headlight bracket as a bolt-on point and modified the plastic brackets that came with it (see picture). I used the standard bulb on my SV650 (60w) rather than the weak 35w bulb it came with. I really liked the final version. Appearance, and it is firmly fixed after a major change. If you use this to create a street fighter, expect to have to make some modifications. In the end it looks great.
